Hi,
I install the plug in for Word and since then Word freezes very often. I have already downloaded the last version of the plug in and copied it in the right folder, but I am still having the same problem. Every time I try to copy text from another document or even when I am saving, Word freezes and I have to force quit. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ana

Highlighting syncs between multiple pdfs in same document
I often upload multiple pdf files per citation, i.e. the main publication and the supporting materials. However, I am finding that whatever I have highlighted in the main publication, those blocks are also highlighted in the supporting materials in the same orientation on the page. If I try to remove these distracting highlights in the supporting document, it also removes the highlights in the original publication. Is there a way to turn off the highlight sync between multiple pdfs in the same citation?
Thanks,

export annotations
When I open my mendeley desktop, I start reading the pdf and make some highlights and annotations. Then I want to export only the annotations but it gives me only the chance to export the file in general not with the annotations apart. What can I do?

Ctrl + C to Copy Text Not Working
I see this question has been asked several times, but doesn't seem to have been resolved.
Whenever I select some text in a PDF in Mendeley and hit Ctrl+C, the citation is copied and not the text.
When selecting the text, there's a little pop-up with a 'Copy' option. This works great, but it would be cool if the shortcut worked.
(I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.)

Citation errors when inserting into a table
I'm attempting to insert a citation from Mendeley Desktop into Word for Mac 2011. When I do I get the following error:
Problem formatting citation #22
Problem updating citation: {Formatting Citation}n}
You can fix this citation by removing and re-inserting it.
If the problem persists, please get in touch with http://www.mendeley.com/contact-support.
This is followed by a request to remove the offending citation.
A similar problem has been posted here before...
1. http://support.mendeley.com/customer/portal/questions/1413084-citation-inserts-in-to-a-word-table-but-then-disappears
2. http://support.mendeley.com/customer/portal/questions/456730-inserting-references-to-tables-and-figure-captions-in-ms-word-2-1
3. http://support.mendeley.com/customer/portal/questions/654395-problem-formatting-citation-error
4. http://support.mendeley.com/customer/portal/questions/898567-updating-citation
This seems to be a common bug, one that can currently only be circumvented by inserting the reference outside of a table and copying/pasting into the table... hardly ideal!
Thanks.

Inserting more than one bibliography in a word document
I'm having a problem when I insert more than one bibliography in the same word document: Mendeley unify the bibliographies.
When I insert a citation, Mendeley put the citation in all bibliographies present in the text, it does not matter where I want to put on. There is a way to keep each citation in it's bibiography separated? Mendeley can do this?
In this way, I'm having problems to write my thesis because I dont know how to keep the bibliographies separated.
Thanks

Citation Styles not appearing in Mendeley Mac
I'm a PhD student, and I've been using Mendeley for the last two years. I love everything about it. However, I've run into an issue. I recently purchased a MacBook Air to replace my older Windows-based laptop. I wanted to copy some custom citation styles I had created from the Windows machine to the Mac. I have followed the steps as outlined in your support video, but the citation styles are still not available in Mendeley. Please let me know if there are any other steps I need to follow. I need these citation styles for my research.
Thanks,
Phil Menard

publication date in bibliograhy
I'm using Vancouver style, and a journal article shows up in my bibliography as
Freedman DS, Mei Z. Cardiovascular risk factors and excess adiposity among overweight children and adolescents: the Bogalusa Heart Study. J Pediatr. 2006/12/26 ed. 2007 Jan;150(1):12–17 e2.
Does anyone know how to remove the "2006/12/26 ed." info from the citation. I'm not sure which part of the CSL to edit.
Thanks, David Freedman

automatic truncation of authors after 6.
I cannot get (or find the line in the code/style editor) that changes the number of displayed authors in the bibliography to more than 6 followed by elipses to the final name.
The refs look like this:
Berman, D. M., Wang, Y., Liu, Z., Dong, Q., Burke, L.-A., Liotta, L. A., … Wu, X. (2004). A functional polymorphism in RGS6 modulates the risk of bladder cancer. Cancer Res., 64, 6820–6.
See the elipses after the 6th author? I need to have the full listing which, in the case shown above, is only 8. I need to correct this, but for the life of me I can't figure out where in the code it is!
I have edited an APA style to fit the Toxicological Sciences format at this location: http://csl.mendeley.com/styles/17521901/toxsci2013. Please advise.

Duplicates keep duplicating
So, it seems that this is an old problem when a watched folder is in a dropbox then files keep duplicating. OK! So when we ask for duplicates we get something like 800+! OK! Where is the command 'Merge All'? Lost in space I guess. When we say to merge one by one why Mendeley keeps duplicating what has been merged already? That does not seem to complicated to write a code that would remerge automatically as Mendeley keeps duplicating when it has been say to do so. Conclusion... this software needs to solve this problem. In no way someone is going to leave 1000s of paper representing his entire knowledge in the hand of a company that could shutdown at anytime; reversely Mendeley need to accomodate the presence of other backing software around!

How can I get Mendeley to pay attention to accession numbers in RIS?
Here is a sample of text from an RIS file:
AN - 20113470123
A2 - Choi, Y.
AD - A. O. Aliprantis, Department of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, MA, United States. E-mail: aaliprantis@partners.org
AU - Aliprantis, A. O.
AU - Glimcher, L. H.
CY - United States
KW - Albers Schoenberg disease
...
Note that the RIS specification specifically supports Accession number: http://www.refman.com/support/risformat_intro.asp
Can I hack the code to add this mapping?
I poked around the code and didn't see any of these mappings:

Citation errors
I am not sure at what time happened exactly but when I have opened my document today most of the citations had disappeared (instead of the citation the words "no such citation" appeared. Even more, in the chapters that still maintained the citations, those had been rearranged, with the result that the citation where not matching the part of the text they should be in.
Any idea how that could have happened? And whether or not I can fix it without having to look for the different citations again?

Issues with information in bibliography
Dear support,
I have two main issues:
- First, some of the information that I enter in the detail section for each reference does not appear in the "library as citations" view. Why? (I am using Harvard style format 1)
- Second, I don't know what style to choose that would enable me for newspaper articles to provide the following information: title, date (day, month, year), author, name of newspaper, URL, date retrieved
Thank you very much in advance!!

Citation style modification
Hello,
I modified citation style "ISO-690 (author-date, English)" with Visual Editor "http://csl.mendeley.com/styles/8564623/iso690-author-date-LT-02". Made these changes: et al. from straight to italic; deleted on-line URL. And after this my Word application crashes or citations is shown in some strange style.

Reference Format
I need to format my references to match the criteria for the journal "Advances in Nutrition. They require the use of International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) with the following exception: references should include the names of all authors, unless there are more than ten, in which case list the first ten plus "et al." The list of references must begin on a new page. Abbreviate journal names according to the National Library of Medicine (NLM) journal abbreviations format. References should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text.
I don't see this format as an existing citation style provided by Mendeley. I have tried to create/edit it myself using the Visual CSL Editor but I was unable to safe the format.
Please let me know how I can fix this problem because I would prefer to continue using Mendeley as opposed to switching back to EndNote.
