Mendeley is refusing to cite this ONE article that is in my database. I can insert all the others through the insert citation button in Word, but not this one. It even lets me find the reference click on it and click on the OK button, but then it does NOTHING!
Any other reference I can cite in the same place in the paper, but not this one. Why? So I have to manually enter the reference and all the refs that come after it? Can you please tell me how to fix this problem?

citations being misread?
So,I have been adding literature to the mendeley desktop so that I can cite it in my word document through the plug in.Strangely enough my new citations are coming up as the previous bibliographies. For example,if no 4 had previously corresponded to a specific citation under the references, then an entirely new citation that I am adding is also being read as no 4 instead of being a new different number..I hope I have been able to explain my problem in its entirety!Could you please solve my problem as early as possible?
thanks!

Version 1.9.2
Working with word for Mac I have been experiencing huge difficulties since version 1.9.1. and also 1.9.2. came out. Each inserting process into the document takes 1-2 minutes. What happened and what can I do?
I tried to go back to 1.9. or 1.8.X to guarantee a smooth working process with my paper but do not have those versions saved anymore. Please help quickly!

MS Word Plugin turns citations into strange code
Hi,
I urgently need help: Out of the blue every single citation in my thesis has turned into strange code, and at in least one place metainfo from some of the papers (e.g. abstract or notes) has been included into my thesis.
I'm running MS Word 2007 on a PC, have tried re-booting the PC, but that doesn't help. Even when I open the document from Dropbox and on another computer (mac) it doesn't work - here Mendeley has simply omitted all the citations (no code included). I have no idea what to do - I just know that this is extremely bad timing for me, and I really hope you can help ASAP. I have also tried contacting you on Twitter so please disregard that request if you see this one first.
Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to tag or isolate all of the papers I've cited in a document?
So I've written a paper inserting citations using Menedeley. Now I want to collect those citations together so I can, for example, copy the cited list to a shared group for my co-authors to use.
Is there a way to tag (or collect into a folder) all of the papers I've cited in a document?
My current least-tedious method is to look at the bibliography in my final document, then search my library to locate one citation at a time, and copy it to the shared folder (100+ citations takes a while).
This shouldn't be too hard to implement since you already know what citations are in the document I wrote use Mendeley as the citation manager.
thanks,
Jordan

In-line citation not collapsing with edited IEEE Style
I have edited a citation style (IEEE), with edits only to the bibliography section using the visual CSL editor. The original style gives inline citations like [1-3] and with any edits i make, the citations switch to [1], [2], [3]. I am wondering why this is happening. I am using Mendeley on Mac version 1.9.2 with Mac 2011 version 14.1.4.

Citation error in word after update to 1.9.1
After update to 1.9.1 my citations suddenly does not work! The in-text citations looks fine (also when using ALT+F9) but I cannot generate any bibliography. It appears that the document are "empty" for citations. And when I want to add a new in-text citation at the end of the document, it simply starts from "1" again.
How can I make it work?

Storing and renaming files from watched directory
I have a watched directory on Mendeley Desktop. When I move a file into this directory, Mendeley automatically recognises it and includes it in the database. However, it does not make a copy of it in the Local Mendeley directory, instead maintaining the link only to the file in the watched directory. If I were to then delete the file from the watched directory, it obviously loses the pdf.
Why is Mendeley not making a copy in the Local directory, renaming it in the usual format etc. so that I don't need to maintain the linked paper in my watched directory?

Mendeley imports only one web-url and one pdf-url
I noticed that MendeleyDesktop imports only up to one web- and one pdf-url when I import a .bib or .xml file, although it is able to export more than one url (per web- or pdf-category) to .bib or .xml format.
I consider this as a bug. When will it be fixed?

MS Word plugin not working
Hey all, I just upgraded to Ver 1.9.2 and now the plugin doesn't work, so I can't add citations to my Word docs.
An error window pops up "Method ListIndex of object CommandBarComboBox failed (-2147483640) in MendeleyPlugin"
What can I do? This is quite urgent as it caught me almost on submission date
Thanks

bibtex syncing and citation keys
In the past I have used the BibTeX syncing option "Create one BibTeX file for my whole library". When I changed the option to "Create one BibTeX file per collection", citation keys failed to be generated automatically for new documents I added to my library. All other citation keys for older documents were still present. When I changed the BibTeX syncing option back to the "whole library" option, citation keys were generated for the new documents that had been added when the option was "per collection". Is this a feature or a bug of some sort? Has anyone else observed this behavior?
Thanks!

Bug Report: Desktop sync hands when clicking "View in Mendeley Desktop" of the Web Importer
I use Web Importer in Chrome.
When I finish the import process of an article, I click the "View in Medeley desktop" button. No shift of focus occurs. When I go to look in Mendeley desktop itself, I see it started a sync, only it hangs on 0%. Trying to cancel it changes the status to "Cancelling sync", but still hangs on 0%. Only closing the mendeley desktop through the Windows Task Manager helped.
I run the latest version of Mendeley desktop.
I hope you find this useful,

Citation data and styles
Hi, when I add reference using MS word plugin, I found that many of my reference list has been included with meta data like DOI, Pubmed Number, URLs etc. Is there any way I can insert citations without all these? Secondly, how can I create citation style for Journal of Polymeric materials and Polymeric biomaterials?

Bibliography
Hi!
I´ve noticed that when the number of authors of a paper is greater than 3, Mendeley just inserts the reference in the bibliography as "XXX, N., et al"; is there any way in which to change this so that the full list of authors appears?
Another question, I´d like to add to my references section (in a Word doccument), some which I haven´t got in Mendeley (they are printed doccuments). Nevertheless, everytime I save the doccument, Mendeley authomaically rubbs them out because it doesn´t recognize them. Is there any way thruogh this?
Many thnaks.

Teresa

Microsoft Word 2011 (Mac) slows down with larger reference lists
Hey,
as I realized, Microsoft Word 2011 for Mac slows down incredibly as soon as the reference list gets over 60-70 references. Sometimes, it takes more than 30 seconds to add a reference. I have the feeling that this was different before the last update of the Word plugin, but I am not entirely sure.
Anyways, it would be much appreciated, if the plugin function could be optimized.
(My MacOS as well as Microsoft Office and Mendeley are updated to the latest version, this also holds true for new documents, not only for old ones, my system is comparably new with a sufficient processor capacity and more than enough working memory.)
Thanks a lot,
Jan.
