I can't install word plugin, i already tried:
1) uninstalling the plugin via Tools - Options in Mendeley Desktop and re-installing it
2) looked for mendeley in the add-on list in MS word, but it isn't there.
3) restarted pc
4) mendeley reinstalled
And nothing!
I have the Office 2010, Windows 8 x64 in this pc.
I use this plugin in other pc with office 2010, windows 7 x32 without problems.
Can you help me?

If my library data is stored on your servers why can't i add to it without having to download a plug in. I am working on a public computer. This seems so counterintuitive.

How can I use CSL editor, so that my webpage references use a different author format than journals?
For my thesis I'm referencing journal articles as well as web pages in Nature style. The journal article references are fine, but the web page references are not the way I want them to be. For example, I'm using a guideline report of the Panel on Antiretroviral Guidelines for Adults and Adolescents, which I want as a web page reference. If I enter the "Panel on Anti (...) and Adolescents" as the author, Mendeley automatically changes it to P. Adolescents. As for an WHO report, I want to have "World Health Organization" as the author, but it changes to "Organization, W.H.".
How can I update the style in CSL editor so that web page references have different author styles?

Initials without periods not recognized.
Currently, it seems if authors are listed as "Smith, JJ," in created reference lists the second initial is ignored, resulting just in J. Smith (or Smith, J., etc.). This is a pretty severe issue, espeically considering much of the automatically generated metadata is written in this fashion.

Citations
I'm using Harvard format as the style.
In my Word document when I reference an article it only ever includes the first name and then et al. unless there is two authors then it automatically includes both.
How can I make it so it includes all authors e.g., Judge, Bono Ilies 2004 the first time it is cited and then the first author and et al. after that?

File Organizer - Tidy Up : Deletes ALL my PDF documents
This blows my mind.
I manually added 8 PDF files to Mendeley.
This means, I only have 8 documents in my library.
Setting is to name files according to "Author"_"Year".
When I changed the year for a reference, a new copy of the PDF appeared.
Now, I want to remove the old copy which does not get referenced in my library.
No problem, I go to File Organizer - Tidy Up ....
Get a message that there are 9 files not in Library.
This is crazy, I have at least 8 files being referenced in Mendeley.
Only the renamed copied file should not have a library reference.
Can you please explain what is happening here?

Problems with Visual CSL Editor. It is not saving my edition of APA.
Through "Visual CSL Editor" I did my own reference style by modifying APA style; but when it comes to save it, a message of error appears saying:
"Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'replace' of undefined
url: http://csl.mendeley.com/src/visualEditorPage.js?bust=9dbc27d746634122b6db1c6d845916dc5877e7e4
line: 432"
And then it asks to Refresh the page or Reset everything. So what I did is to copy everything that appears on Code editor, because I don't want to lose all I did. And then open a new APA style without modifying but then, it is another error saying "Cannot fetch style: http://www.zotero.org/styles/APA (Error: 401) Please select a different style to edit.".
So I can't do anything.
I could save one of my editions, when it wasn't finished, but when I select it on MS Word, it doesn't appear like it should and like it was on the Visual CSL Editor page. So what can I do?

Can't re-install MS Word plug in (Mendeley 1.12.1, word 2010, Win7 64bit)
Hi,
I had Mendeley desktop up and running together with the plug-in. I was needed to uninstall for some reason.
Since I re-installed the mendeley desktop I wasn't able to install the word plug-in.
the error message: "unable to install the microsoft word plug in. Please run word at least once before installing the plug in."
Opening a word document did not helped.
I've tried to restart the PC, to uninstall and re-install again the mendeley desktop.
What can I do?

problem insering citation in word - compile error in hidden module
Hi,
I have just upgraded Mendeley on a prompt and immediately afterwards I am unable to use word citation. I get an error message "Compile error in hidden module - AppEventHandler"
I am using word 2003 and I have tried to uninstall and install word pulg in, it hasn't worked.

error 32512 word plugin for mac
just downloaded mendeley after installing word 365 for mac yesterday. all softwares are uptodate.
each time I try inserting a citation i get error 32512.
tried uninstalling and re-installing, but it didn't help.
is there any solution to this problem?

Subsequent citations in footnotes
I'm using Mendeley desktop, with Mendeley plugin for Libreoffice. My citation style is MHRA.
The citations are inserted into the footnotes correctly.
However, it is inconsistent in its application of the short-form version of the citation used for subsequent citations.
Sometimes the short-form will be applied correctly, but sometimes the short-form will be applied to the first citation, with say the second or even third citation being the one where it is displayed in full.
The problem is sometimes remedied when the citations are refreshed, but sometimes that will just lead to more problems, or take a sequence of citations that are correction and put the long-form citation in the wrong place where it was right previously.
I have tried reentering the citations, but the problem remains.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Copying a shared folder to my library
Hi,
I'm trying to copy a shared folder (and nested sub-folders) to my library, as I'm moving jobs but don't want to leave my reference library behind. IS there an easy way to do so? I can only drag and drop one sub-folder at a time, so far as I can see.

Hello! I am tiring to locate the 3 dashes, when an citation author in bibliography repeates. I want to change the 3 dashes to 3 minuses (shorter).

MS Word Plugin
After i have installed the updated Version 1.12.1 and installed the new MS Word Plugin is doesn't work anymore. Get the Error Message: (German) "Komplilierungsfehler im verborgenem Modul: MendeleyLib". I have already tried to reinstall the Desktop and the Plugin but i is still not working!!

Problem with latest uppdate togeter with MS office 2003
After i have installed the updated Version 1.12.1 and installed the new MS Word Plugin is doesn't work anymore. Mendeley changes to greek alphabet
I've just imported the following article to my Mendeley Desktop:
John P Nolan and Larry a Sklar. Suspension array technology: evolution of the flat-array paradigm. Trends in biotechnology, 20(1):9–12, January 2002. ISSN 0167-7799. URL http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11742671.
The abstract, titles, subtitles, and figures are presented with the greek alphabet.
I've ereased the file, downloaded it again, and linked it to my mendeley account, and every single time it comes with the greek letters.
Any help would be greatly appreciatted.

web importer bug
Hi,
I updated mendeley. Since then my web importer is bugging. i removed it from my google chrome bar and placed it back many times and nothing is working. i restarted my computer, mendeley desktop and sign in again on the web...nothing...
And i´m having this error message on my desktop
Mendeley web could not understand our request.please try restarting mendeley desktop with command-line option`--repair-database´
what should i do? -please help. thank you
