Is it possible to have mendeley give the refs & bibliograhy in another language? I am writing in Welsh, which means lots of small manual corrections (eg changing p for page to t). Is there a way around this?

Mendeley touch compatibility
Hello! I just bought an ASUS Transformer book, and I was very sad to find out that my favorite pdf Reader had no touch compatibility. I really would have loved if you could make this happen in the very near future. If not, do you know any other pdf Readers that has scroll functionality With touch screen, as well as the "define" function for Words?

Bib tex citation key
It would be very useful to have the option to specify how the citation keys are generated automatically. In JabRef I have the option that only the first four letters of the first author's name are used rather than the entire name (plus the year as it is default in Mendely). It's simply annoying to type out the whole name when I reference a paper in my latex documents. For me that is pretty much a deal breaker whether I use the mendeley generated bib file or the one by JabRef. Thanks.

Number of private groups I can join
I would like to know how many private groups I can join, being invited. I'm teaching a course where I would ask about 50 students to invite me in a private group they would each create. So is it possible to join 50 different private groups without even creating one myself? Thanks in advance!

Unable to open PDFs
I have several thousand PDF's in my mendeley and have never had a problem with them not being able to open. I have several hundred that are unable to be opened. I try importing them again individually and it still doesnt work. I know that I have had these exact files open in mendeley before. Any help would be appreciated

Problems with the Suggested Feature
Hi,
My 'Mendeley Suggested' is not working. I only have the screen of more papers requires, even though I have over 400 articles.

Request for update on adding new document types
More than one year ago we were told that Mendeley would be adding new document types to the program. It was supposedly on the roadmap for 2013.

downgrade to version 1.11
Hi,
I have to work with an old version of ubuntu 10.02 and version 1.11 of mendeley was working perfectly fine, but after trying to upgrade to version 1.12.1, the application doesn't launch anymore. I'm sure there would be a way to correct for this properly but I'm quite in a hurry, could I download somewhere the .deb file of the 1.11 to go back to the version that works on my computer ?
(plus I'll soon have a fresh version of ubuntu and it may solve the problem so i don't want to spend to much time on it right now)

using numbers instead of names in the text
The Journal of Developmental Neurorehabilitation requires me to use numbers instead of (name, date) in the text. I have simply numbered the reference section, and would now have to manually go through the txt to add numbers and take out names etc
is there a simpler way?

How can I simply filter by type of article. I need very much to produce a list of only journal articles.

DOI resolver still not working properly in v1.12.1
I just upgraded to version 1.12.1 for Mac OS X, hoping the problems with resolving DOIs that have been reported for more than a year would have been fixed. Sadly not.
Here's an example. 10.7350/BSR.V10.2013 resolves correctly in all the web-based DOI lookup services I have tried, but fails from within Mendeley.
Failing at DOI lookup seems like a pretty basic problem for a bibliography management tool!

Number of characters for title field
Since 2012 people have regularly asked whether the limit of 255 characters for the title field could be expanded. Today I also came across this annoying problem, so I would like to know if anything will been done about this in the near future.
In my case the character limit was not sufficient, because the workaround for italicing species names in titles - a problem that has also been regularly reported for years and has seemingly not been fixed - increased the character number to above the 255-threshold.
So is there any hope that this problem/these problems will be solved?

Bibliography Duplication
Ih
When adding a citation on a MO paper one of bibliographies, for no apparent reason, became duplicated. I enclose a copy/past of refereed biblo, as you can see Mendley change the number of pages for the number "736258". What did I do wrong? How do I solve the problem?

bad equation (math) rendering in built-in PDF viewer
While external PDF readers are able to render equations/math correctly, the Mendeley internal PDF reader (built-in reader) seems to render the equations using a very thin font in certain PDF files.
The ones I have been having rendering issues were mainly from IEEE signal processing and IEEE signal processing letters.
Have anyone had any luck correcting this problem?

libreoffice-Microsoft Office (Linux-Windows) compatibility
Hello Mendeley
I appreciate that you have made a Linux version and to my experience both the desktop application and the Libreoffice plugin work very well.
However, the Linux Libreoffice plugin cannot save to Microsoft Office .doc format. In my experience, most users use Microsoft office (and the .doc(x) format) and this lack of compatibility therefore makes the linux version of Mendeley unusable for collaboration.
Zotero allows the use of bookmarks on .doc documents (instead of reference marks on .odt) which allows Libreoffice-Microsoft office compatibility.
Are there any chance Mendeley will implement this compatibility in the near future?

cost and other problems
Hello Mendeley,
I have just cancelled my plan with you as my card expired. I paid a big subscription fee and then around £30 each month. This seems huge amounts when other systems are free. I have also had problems with Mendeley crashing my computer every time it is on, also when I download an article onto Mendeley desktop it does not update on my work computer where I also have Mendeley desktop. Is this a fault?
Otherwise I am really happy with Mendeley. If I do not pay what will happen to my current articles etc as am in the first year of my PhD and can not afford £30 a month for the next 3 years.

PDF synching on Mac
Hi there,
I have established my library on my Windows computer and have synched everything with my web account. However, when I open the programme on my Mac, the document titles and other details show up whereas the actual PDF is not synched. When I go into Edit Settings - Synchronise attached Files - Save and Sync, something is happening but the PDFs still aren't there.
Anyone who might assist?
