red "please enter a title" notification appears when trying to add a thesis document into my library. please fix. thank you. have used the long way around this issue, but this bug has been around for awhile according to previous posts.

In MS Word, adding additional references from Mendeley desktop deletes existing reference
In MS Word, using the Mendeley Word plugin, if I click the "Go To Mendeley" button to add additional citations to an existing citation directly from the Desktop software, it will replace the existing citation entirely. I figured it would add the citation. Is that what's supposed to happen?
I'm using Mendeley Desktop 1.11, MS Word 2010, and Windows 8.

Why did my mendeley stop working?
I can't get Mendeley to open today on my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS system. I was prompted that I was missing Qt, so I installed the latest versions of Qt. Now when I open Mendeley, I see the following:
$ mendeleydesktop
Using system Qt version 4.8.1 in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
and then it never loads. When I cancel the process, I get:

Highlighter tool both highlights and selects text simultaneously
Hello,
I've noticed that since about a week, the highlighter tool has been both, highlighting and selecting text simultaneously. Whilst not necessarily bad in and of itself (I can imagine it can be quite useful), the colour that results from the yellow and blue is unappealing (khaki green) and distracting. I'm not sure if this is a bug on my computer/ version, or an intended feature.
I have Mendeley version 1.12.1. This happens on all documents, I have both restarted Mendeley and my computer, the feature remains. Would be great to hear back about this,

Our library users have asked to use Mendeley Desktop. I need to deploy it to 120 PCs. and I was wondering if there is some documentation regarding this?
Also making sure that the word plugin is set in word for all users?

I'm trying to cite a report in which the author is an "institution/organization". I have typed the name of the institution and selected "institution/organization". I refresh my bibliography in my word document Mendeley continues to list "———" as the author. How do I fix this?

watch folder doesn't work
Hi,
My desktop is set to sync to a specific folder.
After I add a file to the folder, I don't see it added to my mendeley desktop.
I tried to close it an open again, tried to press the sync bottom and nothing works.
Can you please help me with that? I don't want to add every file manually.

"Save to Mendeley" from PubMed is not pulling over publication year.
Hi!
Both me an a colleague have experienced several instances where Mendeley is not pulling over anything for an article's publication year from the PubMed data. The rest of the information looks fine, but the year field is completely blank.
Here are two examples - PMID:10802843 & PMID:10736249
As you can see, it's not just one journal either, as these are from two different ones.
I am at a loss to explain it. Is this something Mendeley is aware of? Can they fix it?

Reinstall 1.11
I have the same problem: After i have installed the updated Version 1.12.1 and installed the new MS Word Plugin is doesn't work anymore. Get the Error Message: in Swedish "kompileringsfel i den dolda modulen: AppEventHandler", free translation "Komplile error in hidden module:App event handler". I have already tried to reinstall the Desktop and the Plugin but i is still not working!!
The link http://www.mendeley.com/autoupdates/installers/1.11 does not work so I cant instal the older version again.

inserts blank references
Mendeley 1.12.1 and MS Word 2007. Updated recently. Mendeley now inserts blank citations.
I noticed that hitting undo once shows after the insertion of a blank reveals the {formatting citation} placeholder. I also notice that my references and bibliography no longer update when I switch the style. Before inserting an additional reference to the many already in place, the Style: box says only "Insert a citation to see available styles". However, right clicking a reference still shows an "Update Mendeley citation" option ... and causes a freeze if I continue.
This appears to be a new problem with the last update, but it is causing massive headaches as I try to get this book chapter out the door.

locked article
Hi. I've had a similar problem of locking files that others have mentioned. Even after re-downloading, that keeps happening with one particular file. Thing is, I read and annotated it quite thoroughly on a previous download. In the locked article I see my notes, but not the article or highlighting. One of the newer downloads of same article is unlocked, but the notes/highlights didn't carry over. Hoping I can merge the two. Please advise. Thank you.

Fail to upload attachments.
Hi, some of my attachments won't sync with the web server, and it makes my ipad app and another mendeley desktop installed on my laptop have incomplete database. I've followed the instructions about synchronizing specific folders. But it happens again and again.

Upgrade to 1.12.1
What has happened to the upgrade 1.12.1?
1. After an upgrade I have lost about half of the PDF, with some files I still have the option of downloading them, other just broken link.
2. The app keeps buying busy despite no actions - taking about 20% of CPU while being in background.
3. Every time I start it, it does a full sync - downloads a uploads a lot of data (I don't know if this is the default behavior, but I would have expect you only send the diffs).
Is there something very wrong with my setup or are you aware of these problems. I don't want to give up yet on it, but at this point it is unusable (I cannot afford to have this running along side my other apps).

Problem synchronizing desktop with web
Hello,
I recently created a Mendeley account and was initially able to sync the attached files in Mendeley Desktop with Mendeley Web. Unfortunately for a while now I haven't been able to sync any files and don't know what is causing this. I click on the sync button but nothing changes in Mendeley web, none of the folder divisions I created in Mendeley desktop appear either.
Could I be missing some simple step and not have realized it?
