Hello,
I'd like to report a bug when exporting citations to bibtex.
I found a series of characters inserted into various citations. These were:
ג€“ (and combinations of these three), and
™ and
‰
Removing them gives a functional bibtex file.
Thank you,
Jonah

mendeley LaTeX-escapes special chars in URLs (but shouldn't!) on bibtex export
aaand here might be another bibtex export bug.
If the below is entered as a URL, Mendeley appears to escape the ä, which of course, changes the URL.
http://scholar.google.de/scholar?hl=de\&q=Preuss-Lausitz+Integrationsforschung+%22Ans%C3%A4tze,+ergebnisse+und+perspektiven%22\&btnG=\&lr=\#0
The bibtex entry becomes:
@article{Preuss-Lausitz2002b,
Author = {Preuss-Lausitz, U},
Journal = {Integrationsp\{"a}dagogik},
Keywords = {folder-copy-schule-der-demokratie},
Mendeley-Tags = {folder-copy-schule-der-demokratie},
Title = {{Integrationsforschung. Ans\{"a}tze, Ergebnisse und Perspektiven}},
Url = {http://scholar.google.de/scholar?hl=de\&q=Preuss-Lausitz+Integrationsforschung+"Ans\"{a}tze,+ergebnisse+und+perspektiven"\&btnG=\&lr=\#0},
Year = {2002},
This is kind of a small thing as most URLs (to date) don't have special characters, but they may increasingly in future.

Continuous Support with Zotero
I have both Mendeley and Zotero on my computer. I use Mendeley much more often than Zotero but I do have some things on Zotero that I'd like to migrate. If I click the option "Locate your Zotero sqlite database to enable continuous Zotero import:" will it potentially erase, over-write, or otherwise mess up my Mendeley database? If so I won't mess with it. Thanks!

Inserting a COMPLETE bibliography
I would like to insert a COMPLETE bibliography of all the sources in my library.
This would be like a "references" section rather than a "works cited" section (which I also intend to include).
Is this possible in Mendeley? I'm using a Mac and a box briefly shows with
“Opening X53551.html”
The X is not necessarily “X” but some variable letter
Thank you.

Importing from bibliography generated by Mendeley in Word
My colleague sent me a paper which includes citations inserted with Mendeley. Is there a way I can pull these citations out and into my mendeley desktop bibliography?
Thank you,

migrate/copy library WITHOUT account: don't use restore
Since I did not see a specific Tip/Trick/suggestion I am writing aiming to help those
Who want to migrate/copy library without the need to have all documents in a Mendeley account
My library consisting of almost 10000 documents
I have in my account only those most important and on reading
To migrate, just register with your account on Mendeley from whichever computer
You will have your library magically created with all the online documents linked.
If you want to link also the other documents, eventually previously copied on the other computer, just drag and drop on your Mendeley Desktop.
Difficulties on linking may arise only for those documents not easy to find on the Internet or your own original work
NEVER use restore library from Backup since this will delete all the online library and, when synchronizing from your original Desktop, you will find all items gone!!
In case this happens never mind: first restore your library from the source computer from the Backup
Hope this helps

References in Microsoft Populate With DOI and Internet Link
I have noticed that since the software update near the beginning of this year, the Mendeley References function in Microsoft Word has been populating each of my citations in my bibliography at the end of my papers with the DOI and web address that are in my Mendeley database. This is despite the fact that the American Medical Association style I am using should not allow for this. The result is that I have to go into my bibliography section at the end of each paper and delete this extraneous information from my citations.
Is there a fix for this? I don't want to have to delete the DOIs and web address from the references in the Mendeley database. I just don't want them to be appearing in my bibliographies.
Thanks,
Kenton

Automatically send billing information to another person.
Hello,
I have a premium subscription for our group at the University of Washington in the Department of Genome Sciences, Seattle, WA, USA. Our purchasing department would like to receive notification that payment was received. Currently it is sent to my Mendeley account. I would like to add our purchasing folks to the notification and don't see how to do this. It would be useful to others, I suspect if this can be done. Please let me know if this is possible.

Team paln
Team Plans, the cheapest option given runs at $49 per month! Is this really the cheapest option that Mendeley has available?
I am wanting to share papers between two people, which exceeds the 100mb free. but $49 is extremely un-affordable (esp seen as we have to convert this!) I was even more horrified to see that this was the discounted rate for NGOs and researchers!
Please let me know what alternatives there are
THANKS

Adding Citation doesn´t work
Hello,
I´ve been adding citation to a Word document without any problems. Suddenly the "watermarks" (citation highlights) were gone. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Mendeley PlugIn, now i can´t even add citations anymore. When I hit the Edit Citation tool nothing happens, no error, no windows opening up. Going to Mendeley manually doesn´t help either. What happened, what can I do?
I use Word for Mac 2011 and Mendeley 1.11 (no changes or update lately)
Thank you !

losing attached files
I had to reformat my computer and reinstall Mendeley. I was surprised that none of the attachment files associated to my entries are shown, losing all my notes and highlights.
What can I do to get back that information?

Texmaker .bib file reference problem
Hi all,
I am trying out Texmaker and my main problem is that I cannot get the references visible when compiling to a PDF file. I generated the .bib file by enabling BibTex syncing in Mendeley and copied the "Path:" to \bibliography{"Path:"}.
As a result when compiling the Texmaker file to a PDF the PDF file shows [?] instead of the correct references. The logfile is given below.
Package natbib Warning: Citation `Bertho2013' on page 1 undefined on input line
7.
Package natbib Warning: Citation `Bertho2013' on page 1 undefined on input line
13.
(./project.bbl
Package natbib Warning: Empty `thebibliography' environment on input line 8.
)
Package natbib Warning: There were undefined citations.
Any help that will contribute to a solution for this problem is welcome!
Kind regards,
Arjen

bibtex export still working poorly.
Mendeley is still rather cute than useful.
webpages are exported to bibtex as "@misc", journal articles don't include the field "urldate", (last checked), even when it's ticked in the preferences. why?

Search Error
I am able to perform a single "Literature Search" in Mendeley desktop, but any subsequent searches I try to perform result in a message stating, "There was an error during the search, please try again." If I close and restart the application, I am once again able to perform a single search before the error returns.
