Error in mendeley and word 2013

Every time I refresh my bibliography (I'm using office 2013) this message pops up: "You can have a maximum of 16 records of cancellation at a time (6274) in Microsoft Word" (I translated it from italian to english, so probably it might not be exactly this the message). What can I do? With the previous version (now I have the 1.10.1 installed) there was not this issue...

Downloaded folder within Windows user profile

We are part of a Windows domain with roaming user profiles. Mendeley desktop during installation creates a folder named C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Mendeley Ltd\Mendeley Desktop\Downloaded\ and on start copies PDF files into that folder. After some accumulation of papers that folder becomes rather large, and the roaming profile limits (250 Mb in our domain) are reached (... and it takes longer and longer to log off). We therefore urgently need to change the location of that folder (out of the user profile). Going through the Mendeley Options menu, selecting a new PDF archive outside the profile and deleting the folder in the profile does NOT solve the issue; the Downloaded folder in the user profile is re-created by Mendeley at its next start, and filled again will all the PDFs through a sync from the web. How can this be prevented and that folder permanently removed from the user profile? Regards Marcus Doherr

Citations disappear

When I try copying formatted citation I get nothing when pasting into a text editor. Additionaly, when I set to see the library as citations, no information is available for any reference, even though the details can be seen on the bar on the right. This doesn't happen to every citation style.

One week ago Mendeley desktop start to have some problem in the field search. It is unable to search for whatever: author, title, year, note... even it is unable to do it by the Word plugin. I've read that other people found this problem, few years ago and that maybe it was a bug. Did you fix it? how?

I tried re-applying the setting, adding a new file, syncing, etc. I am using mac OSx 10.9, Mendeley V 1.10.1, and my file directory is /Users/clayton /Documents/University/Mendelay Citations Any help? Cheers, C

Hey - I'm using Mendeley desktop both in my very old Windows PC using Windows 7 and my Macbook Pro 2011 with SSD. Scrolling through any pdf document is very sluggish on my Mac, especially when compared to Windows. I'm using the latest 1.10.1 version.

Get more styles

In the newest version of Mendeley (1.10.1), there is no way to add new styles to the reference manager list. When I click on Citation Styles then click on the "Get More Styles" tab, there is nothing there. I have also manually downloaded the .csh file and added it to the correct location via the instructions posted here, and it does not show up. Could you advise on how to get a new reference style added for use with the MS Work plugin?

is it possible to link articles

Example. Is it possible if I am reading a article in the desktop version of Mendeley and I want to add manually a link to another article I have in my library? I.e. an internal link within my library so when I am reading the article again I can click the link to open up the related document. Could be useful if some paper is cited in an article and I want to add a direct link to that article(possible the exact part of the article referred to). Another example might be to add a link to an another article which discusses some part of the article you are reading in more detail. Hence you are easily able to look at additional material that is related if you have added links.

Book author in book section?

Hello, I've got an entry that's the postface of a book, written by a different author than the main content of the book. However, it is not an edited book as such. So, what I am trying to do is get Mendeley to drop the (Ed.) after the book's author. This is what I get: Lazzarato, M. (1999). Postface. Gabriel Tarde : Un vitalisme politique. In G. Tarde (Ed.), Monadologie et sociologie (pp. 103–150). Paris: Empêcheurs de penser en rond. But Gabriel Tarde is not the editor of the book... Is there some solution? Thanks, Nicolas

MS Word convert inline references + bibliography from EndNote

Hello! I'm sure this was asked and answered before, but the last reference to this I found was in 2010, so here goes: I have a paper in MS Word with EndNote created bibliography & inline numbered references. I want to convert into using Mendeley. Importing the whole citation library from EndNote is easy (via xml file), but can I also force Mendeley to start managing the in-Word references and bibliography instead of EndNote? Thanks for answer, Adam

Hi i am transferring from Refworks to Mendeley - or so I thought. now it seems like it is not possible to have both the Refworks and the Mendeley Word Plugin in parallel? If that is so, i will have to switch to zotero, as I need to be able to edit my Refworks Docs. I did not expect this to be a problem, as I had Endnote and Write and Cite in parallel without any issues - Could you please confirm whether my assumption is correct, or else give me indications of how I can make the Mendeley plugin work ( I am using Office 2010 on a Windows XP) ?
