I followed the instructions of "How do I import my existing references from Zotero?"

and it did not work.
I think all my set up are correct. My Mendeley friend and I tried both Windows 8.1 and Windows 7. After set up (my zotero library is about 3G on local computer), click sync and nothing happens.

how to cite legal cases
Is there a way to automatically cite English legal cases in the correct form (following OSCOLA) or do I have to input the details manually?
I am using OSCOLA as my preferred citation style and I am inputting my references as cases (document type). However, the headings don't seem to match with the information I need to cite and the citation does not ultimately appear in the correct order.

Mendely and Mac Word - cannot insert citations
I am using Mendeley 1.10.1 and Mac Word 14.3.9. When I try to insert a citation using the toolbar (or any method) Word either freezes or nothing happens. I have already reinstalled Mendeley, updated the macWordPlugin.py file, and checked for Word updates. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

can't backup
I have Mendeley on two computers (windows 7). Neither will create a backup. I get to the directory screen and click "Save" and nothing happens. I've tried several different folders, no luck.
I want to transfer my files/citations to a new user ID on a new computer.

Cannot edit preferences of Mendeley Desktop 1.10.1
Hi,
I have recently installed Mendeley Desktop 1.10.1 on my macbook and surprisingly I cannot edit preferences (ok and apply are in grey). I tried to un/install it several times but still the same issue. I have it installed on 2 other computers (mac and linux) and I never had this kind of problems.
I really need the File Organizer option for my work so I would like to solve this issue.
Does someone can help me to solve this ?

The "Filter by Authors" in the MAC Desktop Version 1.10.1 does not work

when I do a literature search in the mac desktop version, I can not filter by authors. I can see the list of authors on the left side, but all is greyed out. Hence I can not apply the filter which is cumbersome.

Moving citations to a different subfolder
I only want to move citations to a different folder. The problem is that the citation ramains also in the old folder. When I try to remove it from the old folder (both with 'delete document' and 'remove from collection') it is removed from the new one too. It is not possible to handle them as in a classical folder browser?
In my opinion, the way it works is fine when you move from 'all documents' to a subfolder (http://support.mendeley.com/customer/portal/questions/1046160-citation-workflow-within-folders-in-mendeley) but not when moving between subfolders.

Word plugin isn't appear in refernces in word
Word plugin isn't appear in refernces in word on refrences as it should/
The plugin worked fine until a month ago.
I had some problems with the Word in my office and suddenley even the Mendeley plugin was gone.
according to my desktop the plugin is installed.
I tried a few times to unistall and reinstall it( I get the "sucssefuly instaled banner) but still there's no sign of it in the Word
What can i do?

Cannot Insert Bibliography into Word 2011 (Mac) Document
I downloaded and installed Mendeley Desktop and the corresponding toolbar, but when I click on Insert Bibliography nothing happens.
I have created a Mendeley Group/list of references with over 40 references.
I have also spent over an hour on help sites, your site and Google and am still not able to get these references in to my Word document.

Problem with Bibtex and a Lastname containing two hyphens
I am using the Bibtex export feature of Mendeley. The lastname of one of the authors I cite contains two hyphens, which causes some issues with the name detection in Bibtex.
The Authors name is Mohamed Gad-el-Hak, which is exported as this:
author = {Gad-el-Hak, Mohamed}
This causes issues, instead it should be exported like this:
author = {{Gad-el-Hak}, Mohamed}
I cant just manually add the curly brackets in Mendeley as they get excaped with a backslash. Is there a way to fix this on my end? Is there a bugfix in the works?

textual comment as a cited reference
I'm preparing a journal article that uses numbered references - number in text and reference at end of paper by number (under "References"). But I need to add a comment that appears also at the end under References and has a number to go along with it in the text. Its like a footnote except the journal doesn't allow footnotes...they are to be within the numbered references.
How can I do this?

Is there a way to see what the most common journal, most common author, etc... is in my library?
The subject line says it all. I want to be able to see that X journal or X author is the one that I have the most in my library. Is there a way to do that?

Citation Style
Hi,
I was trying to find a citation style that would satisfy the requirements of "Journal of Interferon & Cytokine Research". I went to (http://csl.mendeley.com/searchByExample/) to search a style that would fit, but none of the options was exactly what I need. I tried to edit an existing style, but I wasn't able to do so :(
The journal I'm trying to submit my paper to says that the citation style they require can be accessed in Endnote. Also, I've seen that a sitation style can be downloaded in my Mendeley desktop.
So, do you know of there's a chance I could get this exact style and apply it in Mendeley?

A bug to cite with royal society of chemistry style?
Hi, I am not sure if this is bug. I tried to cite references in the word with Mendeley, and I noticed the following strange phenomena:
At some place, it shows the citation index as: something with index^24,27, 25.
And this is really strange, as I was expecting: something with index^24,25,27.
I tried other citation style, and it works fine, but not this "royal society of chemistry". I think probably there is a bug there?
I don't know how to post a figure here, but if you'd like, I can post a figure related to that.

Delete multiple notes
I noticed one can select multiple papers and write a note for all of them. The note is added to any previous note a paper might have.
Conversely, I cannot find a way to select multiple papers and delete all their notes in one step.
Also, when selecting multiple papers, it looks a bit odd not to see that some of them already have notes, since the note area is always blank.

Mendeley desktop keep crashing
I just got a new Toshiba with Windows 8. I downloaded Mendeley desktop and now immediately after I sign in the program crashes. Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Delete group tag from multiple references
I noticed that while in "my library" it's possible to select multiple references, see their shared tags, and delete one or more of them, this doesn't work with group tags.
More precisely, in my groups (both private and public) I can select multiple references and see their shared tags, however when I delete one or more of them this deletion is eventually not executed.

mac word plugin: error inserting citation, exit code 32512
Hello,
The word plugin for Mac returns the following error while trying to insert citation:
"Unable to start Mendeley Desktop automatically: Running helper failed with exit code 32512"
Tried with Mendeley running \ not running.
Also tried to reinstall the plugin - without success.
System Information:
Mendeley Desktop for Mac version 1.10.1
Microsoft Word for Mac 2011 Version 14.3.9 (131030)
OSX 10.9
