I've two new major problems with Mendely desktop 1.11 with MS Word 2007 and Windows Vista.
1/ I can't synchronize my library with Mendely web.
The error message: "Unable to connect to Mendely. Please check your network connection" appeared, but my network is good, and Mendelay worked good up to now.
I've not proxy connection, beacause I work at home. I try to untick "Use system connection setting" in Options menu, but it's no use and Mendeley doesn't work. My firwall have correct exceptions for Mendeley, and everything was going well till today.
2/ I cannot use any more the MS Word plugin. Word freeze when I try to insert a citation, but everything was going well till today. I try to uninstall Mendely desktop and pluggin (manually uninstall fo pluggin), in order to reinstall Mendely, but I can't install the pluggin now ...
Help me please.

Upgrade account usage and Update
I recently upgraded my account from 2GB by joining a group which caused my account space to rise to 5GB. However since then the 'Account Usage Page' online or in the desktop program has shown 0MB/5GB for my 637 documents which would normally be about 600MB. Also I cannot update the files between my machines although I am seeing updated files on my main machine and online.

I can't seem to view online articles after I've saved it to Mendeley and synced it to view in my library. There is no icon to view.

Commas in tag names?
I have a number of tags with commas in them e.g. "Industry, Firm Heterogeneities, and Strategy" but whenever I type a comma, a semicolon shows up and the phrase gets broken up into several tags.
Is there anyway to use commas as part of tag names? Thanks!

Zotero references not imported if similar ones already exist in Mendeley
I have many references in Mendeley without abstracts and PDF files but with my own tags. In Zotero, I now add the same references with abstracts and PDF files. I want to integrate the Zotero references with Mendeley and then merge them such that Mendeley has the tags, abstracts, PDFs etc. However, the newly added Zotero references that already have similar counterparts in Mendeley do not get imported. I can even very briefly see the progress bar in Mendeley right after adding a new reference to Zotero i.e. Mendeley seems to recognize that there is a new reference available but appears to decide against importing it if a similar reference already exists in Mendeley. At the same time, completely new references do get added to Mendeley right away (right after adding them to Zotero). The same is true if I completely delete the reference in Mendeley and then add the Zotero counterpart again.
Is it intentional that Mendeley does not import references from Zotero that are similar to already existing ones (despite the fact that a number of fields are different)? Is there anything I can do to make Mendeley import all new Zotero references without comparing what already exists in Mendeley?

"watch folder" not working
its not watching the correct folder. it automatically watches "C:/Users/documents/mendeley (or something like that) which has the .html versions of my files. even though i set it to watch my folder where all pdf's are, it doesn't show up. which means, i cant open the papers in mendeley and have to open in browser

Sorry to bother your attention, but I wanted to ask you a question about Mendeley; better said some questions:
1) How many citations are inserted together, for example in Vancouver, so that it remains so for example: "(1; 6; 10)"?. The program only allows this: (1) (6) (10).
2) I can insert the reference on the same sheet of the cite as a footnote and not at the end of the document?.

bug: Mendeley exports PDFs without properly formatted highlights
I want to export PDFs highlighted, annotated in Mendeley with both intact, using the "Export PDF with Annotations" feature of Mendeley Desktop 1.11 for Mac.
Expected behavior:
Mendeley "bakes in" highlights in a way that is recognized by other PDF readers, such as Adobe Acrobat, OS X Preview, or Skim.
Observed behavior:
Mendeley does "bake in" the highlights, but apparently improperly formatted. None of the above PDF readers recognize the yellow highlights added by Mendeley Desktop as highlights. This matters, because I cannot see summaries of highlights or extract them as text in these programs.
Note that other PDF programs, including all of the above, *do* offer a degree of interoperability, even though (at least Skim) also does not save highlights in the file, but as attributes to the file. Still, when I export/save from any of these programs, any of the other programs *will* recognize the highlights.
This is another one of those tiny details that really make Mendeley very, very unattractive by de-facto locking in my years and years of academic work. Completely unacceptable for a mission-critical tool.

Citation - Mendeley truncates bibliography

I am trying to add a reference to my bibliography, but there are quite a few authors. When using the standard citation format American Psychological Association - 6th Edition (which apparently is the same as Harvard system), it truncates the author list..
This is what I get:
Inglis, D. O., Arnaud, M. B., Binkley, J., Shah, P., Skrzypek, M. S., Wymore, F., … Sherlock, G. (2012). How can I get Mendeley to add the full author list, but keep the rest of the citation format as it is?

Hi,
after I import new references in my library, the next time I open Mendeley Desktop I see in the lower part of the screen a progress bar locked at 33% and next to it the message "sending new documents (0% sent)". What is happening?

MS word plugin fails to work. Only Flashes
Hello,
I am using mendeley 1.11 for mac and ms word 2011. The plug in has started failing and I can no longer insert references or a bibliography. When running the script from the word menu I only see a flash as if it intends to run, but never get a prompt to search the library or insert. Again it only flashes (flash = no longer having word selected as the main program when it tries to run all its scripts but then goes back to it after it fails). I have done the basics such as uninstall/reinstall the plug in and clearing some preferences (don't worry I just pulled them from the folder and then put them back in when it didn't work). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Pushing enter in search box should repeat search operation
When having a pdf open, you use the search box to search for a word in the document.
When you have the document open halfway for instance, performing a search operation will take you to the match closest to your current position.
When you have done this and scroll to the end of the document, the next and previous match buttons (left and right arrows next to "Showing match ... of ...") will still bring you back to the matches near the middle of the document (your previous position). That's very annoying in a long document with many matches.
The only way to find matches close to your new position is to redo your search. I would like this to be possible by putting your cursor in the search field and pressing enter. This is currently not the case. The workaround is to delete some letters from the search box and add them back.
This seems a bug to me.

how can i italize et al in an intext citation using APA 6th edition i try adding node et al and italize bu didnt work. secondly my jounal Volume is in italics i try changing from the bu didnt work too.

Advance Online Publication APA-style
I am citing a reference that is an advance online publication. In APA-style, the phrase "Advance online publication" occurs after the journal title and prior to the doi (see 7.01.05 in style guide). Is there any way to do this in Mendeley? It is not automatic.

Moving folders from My Library to a group
After importing my documents to Mendeley and then creating folders to organize them, I wish to share certain folders with the members of our research group. I have read an answer to a similar question in which Charlotte basically stated that I would need to drag the folder from the list on the left into the "documents" section of the group. This does not work. What does work is dragging individual files. That means I would need to create new folders and reorganize in the group, and the folder would not be synced with "My Library".
Is it possible to import whole folders from "My Library" into a group?
