I've installed Mendeley Desktop with same username and password in two different laptops. If one of the laptop is formatted, will the files in the other laptop's desktop folder and those on web library be deleted as well? If yes, is there any way to prevent this?

Library Access Links - KIT - Page not found
Hello,
I added my library access link for the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (www-fr.redi-bw.de/links/?rl_site=unika) in February 2014 and could then find and download to Mendeley any pdf for which my university had an access.
But since last Wednesday, this doesn´t work anymore: Every time I click on "find paper at - Karlsruhe Institute of Technology", I receive the message "Page not found". My university is not (no longer?) in the list at http://sandbox.vidric.com/mendeley/index.php?title=Open_URL_Resolvers. Its link is www-fr.redi-bw.de/links/?rl_site=unika, which is however similar to the link of the listed institution (Sächsische Landesbibliothek http://www.redi-bw.de/links/slub).

PS This is rather urgent - I´m suppposed to find aprox. 1500 papers and store the pdfs for my university... If Mendeley doesn´t work, I´ll have to try another software, which is a shame, because I think it´s a super tool!

Where are my papers / pdfs??
I need help to regain most of my articles, already organized into folders in Mendeley Desktop. Suddenly, they were gone and I can not sync with my library online at mendeley.com. ("please try again or contact support). I have urgency to resolve this, because my files of Ph.D.

Information incomplete (e.g. authors, journal, volume, etc) after PDF import
I just installed the latest version of Mendeley Desktop and imported all my PDF files into my library. To my surprise, many papers were marked as "need review" and, when I went to check them, alot of information was usually missing.
I manually and presed "search by title", but it did not solve the problem, since:
1) some information was still not retrieved (e.g. volume, issue, etc.
2) some information was incomplete (e.g. truncated journal names, containing "..." in the place of some words)
3)only the first 1-2 authors were retrieved
This pretty much makes it impossible to use the citation tools when writing papers, since I obviously cannot go and fix all my library details by hand... and now I feel I might be forced to move back from Mendeley to another reference manager software.
I saw people had similar problems with the webimporter in the past. Any updates on this issue or clues of how to solve it when importing PDFs directly into Mendeley?
P.S.: I am using Mendeley Desktop v.1.11

Please create a function that allows all open tabs to remain open on a relaunch. (Like a web browser.)

Unsorted folder
Hi,
I have documents in unsorted folder that doesn’t appear in All documents. If I search for a particular file, it doesn’t appear when 'All documents' is selected; but when I choose the 'Unsorted folder' and search, the document appears. Kindly fix the issue.

Search is greyed out

Mendeley doesn't recognize past citations?
I had a problem where I will be working on a paper, generate the bibliography and then come back to work on the paper again on a later date and Mendeley will not recognize the citations made before. Any new citation placed comes up as [1] even thought [1] had already been designated to another reference

Horizontal scroll on document list
In the document list of Mendeley Desktop, on Mac (OS X 10.9.3), the list scrolls horizontally.
I'd suggest this is a bug. The centre document list ought to adjust to use whatever space is available and never scroll horizontally.

Adjusting column widths incorrectly grabs documents or folders instead of resizing columns.
When I hover the mouse cursor over the horizontal separators between the left hand column (where the folders are) and the document list, the Cursor changes to the column resize Cursor.
But when as click to GRAB the column separator to resize it, it usually grabs either the folder on the left, or the document on the right.
This has caused me to do MAJOR destructive things to my document collection like dragging a document to the trash when I thought I was resizing the columns.
In other words your cursor display region is NOT the same as the click region! This is a major interface bug. You are showing me a cursor with a promise of one action and then performing an absolutely unexpected action instead. Oh and while you're merrily dragging some document off to it's accidental doom it's still showing the column resize icon.

Tranfer group files into my library
I would like to know how to transfer Group files and folders into My Library. I would like to keep the organization of the folders when they are transferred into My Library so that I do not have to reorganize them.

A bug that affects a PDF transfer from one folder to another folder
Hello! Okay, so, I'll try to make this as clear as possible, but it's a little tricky to describe:
I have multiple folders created for organization, and each have varying amounts of PDFs within them. When I click-and-drag on a PDF to move it from one folder (the folder that currently contains it) to a different folder on the sidebar, the new-destination folder highlights (as expected), and I release the mouse button to 'drop' the PDF into the folder. So far, all of this happens as expected.
Here is where the bug happens:
As soon as I let go of the mouse button to 'drop' the PDF into the folder, I'll slide the cursor back over to the open folder (the folder from which I just pulled the PDF) and IF THE CURSOR DOES NOT SLIDE BACK ONTO TO THE SAME PDF (because the PDF does not disappear from its current folder, even when transferring to a different folder; this must be done manually), THEN THE APPLICATION THINKS THAT I AM TRYING TO HIGHLIGHT MULTIPLE PDFS AT ONCE (in this instance, I have to move the cursor back to hover over the original PDF, click once to select only this file and deselect the other PDFs that were inadvertently highlighted by the glitch, then right-click and select 'remove from collection').
Does this make sense? I know this is hard to follow. This bug has crashed the desktop application multiple times, to the point where I am re-syncing (command-r) constantly just in case it crashes again. On that same note, the desktop application has crashed multiple times (due to other bugs as well) since it was recommended I use this system just a few days ago. I am really trying to give Mendeley a shot, but the crashing keeps me on edge (at one point, a lot of organizational work I had performed did not 'save', and thus I now re-sync constantly).
Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Syncing with Zotero
Attempting to continually sync Mendeley Library with Zotero Library.
Under OPTIONS I click for Zotero integration and have specified this as my file
C:\Users\Nicole\AppData\Roaming\Zotero\Zotero\Profiles\jme729un.default\zotero
Error Message Pops up when I press APPLY
"There was a problem reading the Zotero database file. Please, report to Mendeley at support@mendeley.com inclding the error status-2".
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Unable to sync mendeley desktop to menedely web
I have been unable to sync mendeley desktop to mendeley web for the past two weeks. It will not proceed beyond 0% for "retrieving collections." Because of this problem, I am unable to sync mendeley across different computers.

bibtex citation key changes when automatically exported, breaking document references
Hi,
I have a bibtex file auto generated by Mendeley for a collection of documents. I added some extra documents into this collection, then used the regenerated bibtex file, however many of the citation keys have changed. Is this normal? How can I ensure the same document has the same citation key indefinitely - even once new documents are added to the Mendeley collection.

pdf not attached to documents details anymore
Hey all,
A while ago, some of my pdf got unassociated to the documents details.
Is there a way to find those pdf files, I have 100 of them.
By the way, is this issue solved, I don't dare update the database now.

Not citing on word 2007
I am using word 2007, and though the "Insert citation-mendeley" link is visible on ribbon, I cannot seem to cite anything at all. Though I press the link, nothing happens... please let me know what I should do!
