Can I use the plugin's list of citations in Word to select them in my Mendeley database? I would like to select the corresponding Mendeley records and copy them to a folder.

[Bug] Lose some information when importing from a *.bib file generated from Zotero.
Zotero version: 4.0.17
Menledey Desktop version: 1.10.1
The phenomenon is as follows:
1 Exoport a bib file from Zotero ( All pdf files have detail information such as Author,Pages,Vol...)
2 Import the bib file to Menledey Desktop, and then find that some pdf files lose detail information .

snipping tool for PDF viewer
One of the main reasons to open a PDF in an external viewer is to take a snapshot. Would it be possible to add a snapshot tool to the internal PDF viewer?

Insert Citation delets text
hallo all,
I hope no one is having this happen to them, but i get this weird bug.
LibreOffice Version: 4.1.4.2
Mendeley-1.10.1.oxt
1) new document
2) insert blank bib
3) enter my text and/or quotes
4) cite reference
5) enter more of my text and/or quotes
6) cite same reference again
this deletes all of my entered text until the first citation.
cntl+z several times, new citation shows up inside the first citation, cntr+z again and my text is back. If i try again the same thing happens
I did search, but didn't see anything that matched on the support forums. I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere.

'Command Bar Combo box ' failed
Hey,
I am trying to install a bibliography into my word document, however once i click " insert Bibliography" the following message pops up "Method 'list index' of object ' command bar combo box' failed in Mendeley plug in"
How can i fix this?

about mendeley web importer??
Hello I have installed Mendeley Desktop and I've only had a problem with Mendeley web importer, that more then congratulations because this program is very helpful to archive scientific and articles for references. I hope I can help with is little detail in advance thanks.

all the links to my files have disappeared
I have installed the program in a new computer. When I use a backup of my original files, the documents are there but all the links to my pdf files have disappeared. What can I do? I have the program installed in another computer, running perfectly. Will this help?

Uploading tons of unwanted PDFs into Mendeley folder
Mendeley seems to be loading every PDF on my computer into the Mendeley Desktop Folder. I only want Mendeley to auto-include files in the "watched" folder that I have selected, rather than searching other folders for random PDF's. Do I have a setting checked accidentally? In settings, I don't appear to be "watching" the folders where Mendeley is finding all these unwanted PDFs--just the one folder I want to watch.

Mendeley desktop downloads PDFs that are duplicated or already deleted.
every time when I start Mendeley desktop, it will incorrectly download the PDFs that are duplicated or already deleted. And it locates the PDFs downloaded in the path: "C:\Users\xxxx \AppData\Local\Mendeley Ltd\Mendeley Desktop\Downloaded\"
some of the PDFs downloaded are those I have already attached to a record in Mendeley from my local disk, and some of those I deleted already, so that confused me for long time.

export without fields
Dear people,
I want to export an article in Word with Mendeley footnote fields to a Word file with clear fieldless references. The editor requires it, for he is afraid it will mess up the book. So, I want a file that is as clean as possible. I do not need to change footnotes again.
But my Word 2007 with Mendeley plugin does not do it, when I press "Export without fields" button. He exports a file, but there are still the fields in it, turning grey if I hoover above it and being able to edit citations. I don't want to be able to do that anymore.
I have already removed the plug in and reinstalled the plugin. What should I do now? Are there other programs that can remove fields? I am tempted to change it into a pdf and then import it back into a word-file, but that creates thousands of new problems, I assume, including footnote problems. No, I would like the footnotes to stay, but the Mendeley references to go.
Can you help me?

problem with insert bibliography
I recently dowloaded Mendeley desktop and it run well until I got a problem with my computer. I installed it again and now when I wanna insert bibliography it shows error "ther is an active composantX wich cannot create object(429) in Mendeley Plugin"... Could you help me please! Thanks in advance.

Re-organizing folders
Hi Mendeley
I'm sorting my papers into folders, and has accumulated quite a lot of them. Now I would like to re-organize them, e.g. into alfabetic order - how do I do that? I can only find help on how to make a folder into a sub-folder, which is easy, but I have a lot of sub-folders in a folder and would like to organize them alfabetically. Is that possible? -it doesn't seem that dragging them works..

Connect EndNote citation with mendeley
Hey,
I was using EndNote for a long time before I decided to use mendeley.
My problem is:
I exported the whole citation informations out of EndNote as .xml
Now I want to add all of my PDFs to mendeley and also it would be useful that the PDFs will automatically connect with the citation informations.
How can I manage this?

Managing folders in Mendeley
I have two computers. One with internet connection(I) and anther without internet connection (II). After downloading files using system-I, I have added journal name, volume and page numbers for some papers in Mendeley. Now I want to move all files from a specific folder to another computer (without losing the details of the paper). Is there a way to do this?

Cannot import fra Web of Knowledge
Hi.
The Webimporter fails to import from Web of knowledge. I am using Safari for Mac 7.0.1. The importer says "Could not detect bibliographic metadata. Create metadata below to enhance the quality of this resource" although the page shows DOI etc.
Is this a known bug? Suggestions for a solution?

Backup notes for large files not synced to website
Hi,
I use Mendeley to read and take notes in large textbooks, but the website won't sync files over a certain size. I recently had to restore my computer and lost all of my notes for a textbook I was reading because it never got synced to the website. Is there an alternate way to backup notes for large files not being synced, or is there a work-around that will allow the website to sync such files?

When I create a bibliography the references are listed in the order they are cited in the text. For the target journal (Brain, Behavior and Evolution, which is an included style in the citation guide) I need them to be ordered alphabetically. How can I do this? Thanks...

Error while inserting
Hi,
I keep receiving an error message after attempting to insert a citation (I say attempt because it doesn't insert or takes several minutes to do so if it does work). The error says "Mendeley Word Mac plugin encountered an error: Exception Error: [Errno 61] Connection refused..." Is there any way that I can fix this? Thanks!

If I add pdf files to a document, do I have to keep them on my computer?
Mendely's web importer rarely seems to download a pdf when I use the "Save to Mendeley" function. So, I have been downloading the pdf myself and then adding it to Mendeley.
But I recently found that moving those downloaded pdfs within my hard drive makes Mendeley unable to find the files. This is a problem, because I'm working on a shared research project.
But doesn't Mendeley store these pdfs in a cloud? How else could the other researchers access the files remotely?
Please help. I don't want to have to store every single pdf on my computer....

Libre Office plugin not working
Hi
I have successfully and happily used mendeley in the past on another linux machine, but I'm not having any luck with my present configuration:
OS: linux mint 16 (petra) 64-bits
Libre office version: 4.1.3.2
Mendeley version: problem on both 1.10 and 1.8
Basically, mendeley installs fine, and so does the Libre Office plugin, but then, in spite of seeing all the relevant buttons from within Libre office Writer, i can't get any of them to work. So no 'insert citation', no 'insert bibliography', etc.
I installed the latest version of Mendeley yesterday, then after reading a few posts on the internet i tried removing it completely and installing version 1.8 instead (both installs done from .deb file)... the problem persists and is exactly the same with both versions of Mendeley.
Any clue? I'd hate to have to switch, since I had a happy memory of Mendeley and it has served me well in the past!
