Force update of cloud-stored PDF

I've come across one small annoying behaviour using the OSX dektop/ cloud / ipad syncing system. I received a PDF from a colleague which I imported to Mendeley desktop (OSX). This then synced to the cloud, then on to my ipad, fine. I also read half of it, and added my own mendeley annotations, which have synced as normal. Then I realised my colleague had added some of her own annotations to the pdf, *in the actual pdf*. So in order to get rid of those, I had to opened the PDF externally in Acrobot Pro, delete those PDF-specific annotations. Those annotatoins are now absent when I read the PDF in Mendeley desktop. however, those annotations are still present in the ipad version (after multiple syncs at both ends). I tried clearing the PDF file from that library entry and re-dwonloading the PDF to the ipad but the annotations are still present. this leads me to suspect that the "new version" of the actual pdf file has not been updated at the cloud end, and so those changes do not update on ipad. is there any way to force a re-upload of the pdf file from desktop to the cloud? I have thought about deleteting the PDF file from the library in desktop, and reattaching the "clean" version, but I am worried my Mendeley specific notes and highlights will disappear with it?
