I'm using Windows 7, and the app seems to have some problems. When clicking on the "Edit settings" tab, nothing appears (i.e. no information, like a white page). It takes about 10 minutes for the app to show the corresponding options.
I think some other things are related to whatever is causing the problem. For example, when going to options, in the "general" tab, it also takes a very very long time (about 10-15 mins) to retrieve information about my storage.
All this wouldn't be important, but when it comes to citation styles, I get issues. Whenever I download any new style, nothing happens, and they are never added to my installed ones. When editing existing styles, when I try to save my changes, it says it cannot connect to the server.
Is worth mentioning that the functionality of the app is working and syncing properly when it comes to the documents. Also, I guess is not an account issue because I can use the Mac app without any of this problems in a different laptop. Regarding proxy (which I thought could be an issue) I am under university one but the option "use system connection" is on and seems to work.
I am finding Mendeley a great tool for work (just started using it a couple of days ago) but still cannot pass the initial setup phase of using a new program because of these issues (particularly the citation one). Please give this in need Phd student a hand.
