I need some help. A few months ago I activated the function Rename files in Mendeley . I did not realize that this function would change the location of files folder on the computer.
Then uninstalled Mendeley , I returned to install Mendeley . I ordered all the files in the folders as they were originally because that 's I need.
Now all links to documents that were in the folder Mendeley created to pu pdfs with new names appear broken . I thought this would be no problem , that would be solved by manually adding files to the desktop as the outside needed.
However, if I add manually the pdf to the library, and although the library sincronizes, I still see the broken link .
For example , after adding the file I see this: Could not open '\ C: \ Users \ Manuel \ Documents \ Mendeley Desktop \ Rica , Lucrecia , Jos - Unknown - No Title.pdf '
But I have not the file in that folder , I have the file in the original folder where I had always had, before I activate Rename files and then changed location .
What do I do? There is some manual way to tell that the link Mendeley of this file is now in another folder ?
