Please help! The in-sentence citations include a comma (Berhard, 2011). I have tried everything suggested on your site including updating the Chicago style and switching styles nothing is helping!!!

list authors
when I am correcting the listed authors for any article I can't seem to get it right.
For example: these are the author names I am supposed to fill in. D Stirling, R R Magness, R Stone,M.R. Waterman and E R Simpson
I have filled it in as followes: Stirling, D.; Magness, R.R.; Stone, R.; Waterman, M.R.; Simpson, E.R.;
mendeley keep seeing the 'E.R.' from simpson as the first name of Stirling, and makes the following of it: E. Stirling,D.; Magness, R.R.; Stone, R.; Waterman, M.R.; Simpson.
I have no idea how to get this right? I will probably have to fill it in differently, but I have no idea how.

PDF files start to be imported everytime I open it
And:
1. It takes forever (this downloading of files), which shows a little blue arrow in all documents, but the PDFs are gone!
2. I tried going to Edit Settings and de-selecting "synchronise attached files" - it got worse, as then I open Mendeley and all PDFS are GONE. Then I have to select it to synchronise again, and wait, wait, wait.... close it, then they are gone again!
Help, I'm writing my thesis and I'm afraid I'll end up losing everything. And it's already annoying having to wait for about 15 minutes before I'm able to use Medeley everytime I open, as otherwise, there are no files there... this downloading thing is driving me nuts.... I use Mac OSX 10.8.3

word does not recognise mendeley ms word plug in
I can't seem to be able to use the mendeley ms word plug in. Whenever I open ms word 2007 a macros warning appears on the screen. I have to uninstall mendeley ms word plug in order to word 2007 to open without warnings. This happens even when mendeley desktop is closed. I tried to change the trust center settings in ms word to no avail. Does anyone know how to go around this?

How can I sort manually the references order?
Hello,
as the title of the post suggest I have been tried to sort the order of the references in the folder I have created in Mendeley Desktop... with no results. If I try to drag one of them to locate it in a upper or lower location in the manager it doesn't let me do it.
This is a big problem for me because I am using a numbered citation system and I want that a certain Journal paper appears as first with the number [1] but since Mendely follow the order in the list to number them I get that the first citation I insert on my word file has the number [3].
I tried everything but so far I got no result, what can I do?

I have edited a citation style that i would like to use but cannot find it when i want to select it via view\citation styles\more styles\get more styles.
I have saved the .csl file in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Mendeley Desktop\citationStyles-1.0 but do not see it.
Please indicate where Mendeley desktop accesses the citation styles from as it says the style i want is available but it was not in the citationStyles-1.0 folder.

Watch folder doesn't work
I have a few selected a few folders to "watch" but Mendeley does not add them to the right folder. I would download the pdf to from firefox and save directly to the folder but it just goes to the main documentary folder and not the watched folder. I see that other people have this same problem but no solution is ever given to this problem. Come on Mendeley this is a basic function you guys need to deal with this.

Institutional names not accepted
How do I prevent "Office of Government Commerce" becoming "Commerce, Office of Government" or "Information Security Forum becoming "Forum, Information Security"? Clicking in the Authors box and starting to type the name does NOT work. This is doing my head in :-(

doi lookup failed
There is some issues with DOI lookup. While all the DOI string I input into mendeley are correct and seem to check out from doi.org, mendeley keep stating "doi lookup failed".
What is wrong with mendeley?

Vancouver citation style

In case the link doesn't work -
on inserting a "Vancouver" style citation bibliography the institute affiliations (and email contact addresses) appear in the bibliography table. These details do not appear in the citation details in Mendeley Desktop to be able to edit them out.
For example one reference appears as:-
1. Balfour-Lynn IM, Abrahamson E, Cohen G, Hartley J, King S, Parikh D, et al. BTS guidelines for the management of pleural infection in children. Thorax. Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine, Royal Brompton Hospital, Syndey St, SW3 6NP London, UK. i.balfourlynn@ic.ac.uk; 2005 Feb;60 Suppl 1:i1–21.
but using Zotero with the same reference a Vancouver citation bibliography gives (correctly):-
1. Balfour-Lynn IM, Abrahamson E, Cohen G, Hartley J, King S, Parikh D, et al. BTS guidelines for the management of pleural infection in children. Thorax. 2005 Feb;60 Suppl 1:i1–21.
I using Mac OS X (10.8.3), word for mac 2011 (latest plugin downloaded), Mendeley desktop 1.8.4

Account Limit Notification
I have a lot of PDFs and have surpassed my account limit. I'm not ready to upgrade at this time, so is there a way to turn off the account limit warning I get each time I open the app and the warning that stays at the bottom of the screen? Thanks.

Will not display year properly
Using the Library as Table view I can't get Mendeley desktop to display the year visibly. It only shows the first three digits so most them are 200 or 201. Changing the width makes no difference. I imagine it is something to do with fonts but I can't see a way to change Mendeley fonts.

Synchronizing from command line
I use Mendeley on different computers. Is it possible to synchronize using the command line? I can access the remote computer via SFTP only.

Problem formatting citation
I´m using 1.8.4 mendeley desktop for mac. I´ve been looking around and seems the problem formatting error is common for a few users. Any ideas how to solve or get around this problem?. I uninstalled the word plug-in, and reinstalled it but didn´t help.
