I set up a group shared with one person and uploaded many references and docs. For a free group this has reached the limit so i asked the other person to transfer many of the pdfs to a folder in his 'My library' and delete them from the shared group as I no longer need to see them. He has done this but doesn't seemed to have worked at my end as they are still there - after synching.
Can either member of a group delete items - or only the owner?

Hi,
Is Mendeley only free for individual/home use, what about business/work use?
I would just like to confirm that:
1) as a technician for a University Im free to download and distribute the client to all 2000 PC's on my campus without purchasing any licensing and that this isnt in breach of any laws.
2) Also That I can package the product using App-V or any other virtualisation technology and use it for distribution.

Can't sign into Mendeley Destop
Everything I tried to sign into the mendeley desktop, I get this message.
"SSL error when connect to the authentication server. Details: SSL handshake failed The issuer certificate of a locally looked up certificate could not be found (Cert: *mendeley.com) The root CA certificate is not trusted for this purpose (Cert: *mendeley.com) No certificated could be verified (Cert: *.mendeley.com)"
I checked my connection setting and everything is fine. I am not sure how to sign in.

Mendeley Word Plugin Problem
I've been receiving an error while using the Mendeley Word Plugin and trying to insert a citation in the text. It doesn't happen every time, only sporadically. After choosing the citation a box pops up with the title "Mendeley Word Plugin Problem" and the text:
"Method 'Text' of object 'Range' failed (-2147417848) in MendeleyPlugin
For more help, please visit http://support.mendeley.com"
After I click OK in the box my mouse no longer works correctly in the Word document. I can change tabs and click buttons in the ribbon but I cannot move the cursor or highlight text.

attached PDFs not shown on Mendeley Web
Hi Mendeley team,
I have attached PDF documents to all of my publications on Mendeley Desktop (1.11), but only some show up on the public site (http://www.mendeley.com/profiles/torsten-dikow/publications/journal/). I would like to use this public site to have colleagues download my open-access PDFs directly, but some are missing. I am not exceeding the storage capacity by any means so that's not the problem. It's particularly the more recently added PDFs that don't show up.

Word crashes when using MS Word Plug in
I'm having problems inserting citations when using the plug in. I'm able to insert citations successfully the majority of the time, however, frustratingly, occasionally this fails and freezes the current word document and any other document open at the time.
I recently read every response to a previous post 'MS Word crash while adding citation- Thiago de Andrade Jun 11, 2013 07:50PM BST', and I have tried every option, including 'uninstalling and reinstalling' which proved to solve nothing.
(Also, this is not happening in particularly large/over-loaded documents, nor does it only occur with specific references).
When it finally unfreezes (after 40 minutes and counting on this particular occasion)the error messages vary, so far I had received around 5 different 'error messages' which all mean nothing to me.
Please could you provide any support with solving this extremely frustrating issue.

I can't sign in with Mendeley Desktop, it says that the socket operation timed out and it says that I should check my connection, but i have no problem with it. How can i fix this problem?

I have to create a working group for UOC (distance university) but I can't because my Mendeley version is not "premium", I'm with the "free plan" and only one group is available, the one I used in the previos work of the subject.
The university library support told me to change the mail adress (jcastillomor@uoc.edu), but I've already done it and still have problems.

Using my ownPDF annotation and viewing software within Mendeley
I have to say that the annotation tools in Mendeley, for lack of a better word, SUCK. That is not to say that I don't appreciate Mendeley. Of course also ignoring how slow it is for citations in Word, even for a 30 pg document, which seems to be a problem people have been having across multiple versions of Mendeley for years. This is a problem that means I will not be using Mendeley for my thesis.
Would it be possible to have future versions allow us to use our own PDF annotation software from within Mendeley? I seem to get a new duplicate anytime I annotate my PDFs, it is getting very tiresome. I use PDF-XChange Viewer, which is by far the best PDF software I have ever used.
Keep up the good work, Mendeley is a great concept and I hope to see it continue to improve in the years to come.

Mendeley Crashing w/Bibliography creation
I have a large document in Word that crashes when i try to create the Bibliography. If i break the doc into two parts, mendeley has no problems with the bibliography. However, word crashes when i try to copy and paste the first of the two halves into the original document.
What is the workaround or solution? Thank you!
