MS Word convert inline references + bibliography from EndNote

Hello! I'm sure this was asked and answered before, but the last reference to this I found was in 2010, so here goes: I have a paper in MS Word with EndNote created bibliography & inline numbered references. I want to convert into using Mendeley. Importing the whole citation library from EndNote is easy (via xml file), but can I also force Mendeley to start managing the in-Word references and bibliography instead of EndNote?
