Selectively changing citation style - MS Word

Hello, I am using Mendeley's MS Word plugin for inserting the citations in a document and I can select the style. What I need is some citations with a different style than others. If I select a citation and change the style, it changes the style for every citation. I really need to have different styles because sometimes I need to write "Goel et al. (2013)" and sometimes I need "(Goel et al., 2013)". Is it possible to have two styles in same document? If not, is it possible to remove the author name from citation. For example, if "(Goel et al., 2013)" can be reduced to "(2013)" by right clicking? Thanks very much for help Ashish
