I've loaded more than two dozen documents into my Mendeley Desktop (occasionally through Mendeley Web) recently, and I'm finding its ability to capture data consistently inadequate or flat-out wrong. In almost every case, it either captures only the bare minimum (title, maybe author/year) or nothing at all, and half the time, the information it captures is wrong (wrong year, author). I've watched the Mendeley tutorial video and read the instructions and believe I'm loading my files correctly, but is there something I could be doing differently to make this process more accurate? As it is, I end up manually filling most of the information and find I can't trust Mendeley to be right.
