Along the same lines as another post (http://support.mendeley.com/customer/portal/questions/592783-download-on-sync), now closed, I have to wonder why Mendeley cannot compare hashes, etc. rather than waste my time and bandwidth by re-downloading these files.
Why is this so? Have I missed an option to NOT re-download files that already exist and are the same as those stored out on the server?
It is upsetting when software like Mendeley--which is really, really good at very small and certain tasks--is utterly hamstrung by software decisions as this one and the inability to search a filtered recordset.
