Merged files become unmerged

Hi, I read a previously closed similar post. But I still have this issue: every time I merge some files, it becomes unmerged after I click the 'Sync' button or press 'F5' or do nothing until it sync itself. I understand that Mendeley compares the web and desktop library to decide which version is newer. So I don't understand why it doesn't work for me. Thanks, Lei
