I'm trying to import several bibtex files into Mendeley. These files include the fields: mendeley-tags and keywords. These two fields are randomly ignored - sometimes Mendeley imports the keywords field (as Mendeley's Author Keywords) and sometimes Mendeley imports the mendeley-tags field (as Mendeley's Tags), but a majority of the time it ignores both of these fields.
I thought some sort of cache issue may explain this because sometimes the "Added" time would be hours in the past. However, after completely deleting the files (which is remarkably difficult) and clearing the cache, the issue was still present. (Despite the "Added" time being correct.)
I understand that I can manually enter Tags using Mendeley's desktop interface, but am not willing to do so with several hundred references.
Any ideas about this behavior?
