The Mendeley 1.9.1 Word plugin is not compatible with the find/replace functionality in Word 2010: When a search result that is part of a citation is selected, the list of search results will disappear. Going back to the previous result, the list will reappear. It is not possible to go to the next result. When the plugin is uninstalled, find/replace works fine.
The issue can easily be reproduced:
1) Create a new Word document
2) Insert some text and a citation. Example:
Author
(Author, 2010)
Author
3) Search for 'Author'. Word will display three results. The list of results will disappear when the second result is selected.
