"Insert bibliography" causing Word to crash.

Hello! ------------------ TLDR: - Word 2010 crashes when trying to insert a bibliography or update an existing one - document size/number of citations/references do not play a role - Mendeley version does not play a role - solutions for decreasing performance from Mendeley website (changing the style to IEEE, using draft view in Word, etc.) do not work - no new software recently installed - possible PC update installed recently (what kind of?) is a suspect (same problem with another computer at work) My OS is Windows 7 64-bit, with 4 GB RAM and 2.40 GHz Intel Core i5 CPU. I use Word 2010. --------------- For the past several days I have experienced a very annoying problem with Mendeley Word plugin. I am currently writing my Master Thesis, which contains over 100 references now, with probably around 150-200 inline citations. Since last Friday or Monday my Mendeley Word plugin has gotten very slow. Initially I thought this was a simple matter of decreasing performance with increasing number of citations. For this reason, I tried solving the problem as advised in those topics: http://feedback.mendeley.com/forums/4941-general/suggestions/298630-insert-citation-slow-in-big-papers http://support.mendeley.com/customer/portal/questions/693899-slow-insert-edit-insert-edit-word-citations-in-1-7-1-in-windows-office2-1- http://support.mendeley.com/customer/portal/questions/1010963-mac-ms-word-slow-citations-no-i-can-t-use-ieee None of those suggestions helped. Today I managed to narrow down the problem. Namely, it only happens when I have my bibliography inserted at the end of my document or try to insert one if it's not already there. I click the icon and "{Bibliography}" appears, but then my mouse's pointer turns into the loading icon and my Word goes into "(Not responding)" "mode". When I delete the bibliography from my document with those 100+ references it works fine. The band-aid solution would be simply adding the bibliography at home, but it's still rather annoying... I started to have this issue shortly after updating to Mendeley's latest version. Thinking this might be the reason, I checked whether I would get the same problem on my personal computer at home, which had an earlier version of Mendeley. It worked fine wit the older version, but then I updated it and it worked just as well. I downgraded my Mendeley at work and the problem persisted. I did not install any software on my computer during the past month (besides one Firefox update). So the new update is not at fault. There might've been some update of my system or such, but it's handled automatically and I have restrictions, so I cannot check it (but I have strong suspicion that that is the case since a new icon called "PC Info" appeared on my task bar very recently). I tried to use Mendeley on my colleague's PC - it had the same problem, so I suspect the presumed update is the reason why Mendeley stopped working properly.
