Hello,
I am relatively new to Mendeley and have found some features to work well, and others to work not so well. One of these is the syncing feature which has caused me a few headaches. I am using Mendeley Desktop 1.9.1 on a iMac and an macbook air. I copied notes into the "notes" tab of a reference in Mendeley once on my macbook air. When I tried to retrieve these, only part of the notes appeared on both my systems (it was the same part on both systems, so it seems like only partial syncing happened). I began rewriting these notes in Desktop on the iMac. I was leaving so I synced both systems (the iMac and the macbook air). The new notes never appeared on the Macbook Air. I shut down Mendeley desktop on the iMac then reopened it only to find the notes I had just copied were gone on that one too...! I had only the notes I had previously (the partial notes). This rather annoying. It seems the syncing feature is not very intuitive and I'm wondering if I will keep using Mendeley...Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening in the future?
