Addition of PMID to the reference

HI, Through trial and wrror, i've figured out that you can add a text field to the group in the bibliography layout in the visual CSL editor. Then select the variable option for the value of the text field. You can then select either PMID or URL as the type of variable. Now comes the hitch 1. These steps work well for the in-line citation. I could see the PMID and the URL for every reference inserted within the document. 2. I tried the same additions to the bibliography layout. Saved the style and applied it to the document. Hwoever, this time I did not see the PMID and the URL in the bibliography. Also, the parent style that I am editing is Elsevier-Vancouver. I gave the style file a completely different name when saving it. The file was saved and was downloaded to my desktop Mendeley app smoothly. However, in the pull-down list of styles, I cannot see the recently created style file. Why?? Please help.
