Define style of authors first name

Dear mendeley team, is it possible to define, that only the first letter of the first name of the author is safed, like: Meyer, A. so that mendeley automatically adopt this style for every file? At the moment I change it manually. I already read your proposals for related questions (e.g. CSL-Editor) - there I saw that the settings are like I want to have it. Is there something else I have to do or is the manually change the only way? Thanks a lot Martina
