I am running version 1.11 on a mac and I am finding that even though organize my files is turned off, it persists in making additional copies of all of my pdfs in a local folder and renaming them. This is annoying for three reasons, firstly, I don't want another copy of thousands of pdfs, secondly, mendeley keeps the link to the new copy and not the old one, however, not all of my pdfs are synced online as I have too many and so some of my entries are no longer linked to a pdf. Thirdly, it means that I can't use mendeley for a good few minutes when I start it because it has lots of tasks to do to copy all of the files.
Please tell me how to stop it.
