I am currently using Zotero for archiving my literature, but I really like it about Mendeley that it has the option to mark text in documents, which are synchronized. For working at different computers, this is ideal to have all literature available easily everywhere.
However, I'm often working at the computers of my university, where I'm not aloud to install the Mendeley software. Here I can use Zotero because they've provided a Firefox plugin, which I can install. So maybe this is an idea to develop for you too. If I'm able to use Mendeley at my university, either on the webpage or by a Firefox plugin, I would use it instead of Zotero.
