Greetings,
I have seen similar questions posted here, but found no resolution that seemed applicable in my case.
Some information on what I'm running:
Mac OSX 10.9.3
Mendeley Desktop 1.11
In Mendeley Desktop preferences I have only one watched folder set to: /Users/tmd/Dropbox/Paper Dump. When I first open Mendeley, it will recognize any papers that are new in that folder and add them to my library appropriately. However, if Mendeley is already *running* and I add a .pdf to that folder, it does *not* add it, or even recognized its existence.
If I go into preferences and un-watch the folder (Apply) then re-watch the folder it will then add the .pdf as it should. Similarly if I close Mendeley and re-open Mendeley it will add the new .pdf as it should. However, in the context of reading and adding references, this is a giant pain. Is there a solution to this? Thank you.
