Edit Settings window is blank in Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit?

Hi guys I have been unable to use Mendeley desktop on my work PC for the past couple of weeks. I recently received a new PC which runs Windows 7 Enterprise and Service Pack 1 (64-bit OS). I have installed the latest version of Mendeley (1.10.3). The problem is that Mendeley is trying to sync and upload all the zillions of pdfs which I have in my library and this process never completes, even running the computer overnight. I know that I can choose the option not to upload pdfs when synchronising in the Edit Setting menu in the All Documents main window, but unfortunately the window is completely blank so I cannot modify this. Could this be related to the 64-bit OS? 1.10.3 works fine at home, where I am running 1.10.3 on Windows 7 Home edition 32-bit. Hope you can help!
