I have a number of papers (several!) that appear as duplicates in my library. They indeed are duplicates: if I go checking their containing folder, they are right the same file. I mean: I have just one file named, let's article, PAPER_A in folder 1, and I found 2 PAPER_A in my library. Sometimes, I even find it three times, one being a "missing file" (that is, whit the chain icon). In Mendeley, they are just identical: same author names, same data, same everything.
I don't sync my library online, I just use Mendeley on desktop and I don't have Dropbox.
I have many papers that have links: I may have PAPER_A in folder 1, and then a link to PAPER_A in folder 2. I bet that is not the reason I am having this problem.
How can I resolve it?
