I have repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled both the plugin and Mendeley desktop to no avail- when I try and operate Word with the Mendeley plugin it crashes, sometimes immediately, sometimes after a few minutes with the document inactive, always after I try and insert a citation. Whenever I uninstall the plugin Word reverts to working just fine. I have the latest version of Word running on my Macbook Pro, and this is very frustrating. Incidentally, I had the same problem with EndNote, which is why I decided to try Mendeley instead. I much prefer the platform, but it will not be nearly as useful as I'd hoped if I cannot use it with Word.
