Enabled "Organize my files": directories are created but they are empty

Hi, I am on Linux Mint 16 (Petra), Mendeley Desktop V1.10.2 When I set "organize my files", Mendeley is able to create the directories (for example named after the Journal) but they are all empty. I've read some similar problems here on the forum, but I am reluctant to downgrade (in linux this can be a mess because of APT). Any hint? On a similar note: I've just changed computer and on my previous system (Linux Mint 15) everything was working fine. I still have my old "Mendeley files" folder with all the files in it, but it seems that Mendeley really wanted to download all the files again (what it did).
