Broken Chain Icon Yes... but what about the additional info such as "tags" or corrected author info?

After moving the files to another location, I see that Mendeley Desktop needs to reconnect by having them dropped back in. This info is in many post answers. Does any additional info that was added to the record like an updated Abstract or tags get retained? Or does this stuff need to be entered again? Thanks
