I imported an article and its supplementary data into my library. Mendeley automatically assigned the same metadata to both files. I removed these documents from my library and subsequent attempts to reintroduce the items result in addition of only one file. I believe this is the result of a filter that scans for whether a file with the same metadata is already present in the folder into which one is attempting to import, and rejects files with identical metadata to preclude introduction of duplicates. I have tried importing items sequentially with modification of the metadata but this does not circumvent the import restriction. Can the putative filter be disabled or is there another approach by which I can reintroduce said files into my library? Thank you.
