Save to mendeley button not working

Rachael Kemp Jan 06, 2014 11:19AM GMT I'm using Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7 Professional and I have the same problem as the person had below (I've copied and pasted the conversation thread although it is not clear how / if the problem was resolved). The import to Mendeley button is not working in my browser at all. When I right click the button there is not an option to 'Edit' so I cannot get the URL text box. Can you help? Thanks Both on Firefox and Chrome, the web importer is no longer responding. Something seems to be blocking execution of the javascript, but I can't find it in the settings. Chrome gave me this error through the JavaScript-console: Uncaught Error: Anonymous AMD module used, but it was not included as a dependency. This is most often caused by an anonymous define() from a script tag. js?h=25kaepc6rgo1820ap1rglmzr4-c19zsujfl1pg46iqy33ubhqc5-eu97293ov7e2qciy9z…g4x1o11fxmypuv7vfkb-cm7t28gy6qeit8mflnj0anuia-44hsmct3xkik0f8jooa94zeq4:16 Can this be fixed? I really hope so because I have to import some important things for my graduation thesis.. o.o" Up0Down Charlotte Weber Sep 24, 2013 10:36AM BST Because I've seen this being asked for in similar threads: my OS is Windows 7, the buttons I have on my bookmark bar are both the "Save to Mendeley" and "Import webpage to Mendeley" buttons, the latter being older than the former if I remember correctly. I acquired both of them via your website in the way that is described on the website. Neither work. I've also used a browser that only had the "Save to Mendeley" button, but it didn't work their either. I've seriously tried this on my grandmother's computer as well (Chrome on Windows 7), but it didn't work there either. Help? Please? I'm running close to my thesis deadline and I really, really, really need to start importing a few websites I have used as references into my thesis. [/graduation stress] Up0Down Josh Sep 25, 2013 04:17PM BST Mendeley Agent Thanks for your message, Charlotte. If you right-click the importer and then click ‘Edit’, what appears in the ‘URL’ text box? Up0Down Charlotte Weber Sep 25, 2013 04:24PM BST This is what I get for the 'Import website to Mendeley' bookmark: javascript:document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0].appendChild(document.createElement('script')).setAttribute('src','http://www.mendeley.com/minified/bookmarklet.js'); By the way, I was trying to import a discussion from a LinkedIn Group. In case that matters as well.. Up0Down Josh Oct 01, 2013 02:40PM BST Mendeley Agent Thanks Charlotte, can you please try again from another web page and see if you have the same issue? Up0Down Charlotte Weber Oct 01, 2013 05:49PM BST Well, this is strange. On: http://insidehpc.com/2013/07/28/big-data-in-healthcare-saving-lives-with-personalized-medicine/ ...it works! But on: http://www.knowthis.com/what-is-marketing/marketing-definition-dissected ...it gets stuck on the 'loading' screen, but never loads. Javascript-console does not list any more errors (that 'Anonymous AMD module' error seems to be LinkedIn-specific). Next I'm gonna try and shut down all my add-ons to see if the latest update of Adblock Edge has anything to do with it. Though I doubt it since it only stops functioning on some websites, not all. I used Firefox 24.0 this time 'round. Still running on Windows 7. I hope you guys can help. I have tons, and tons of websites I need to add for my thesis and I really can't see how I'm going to do all of that by hand before my deadline. D': Up2Down Josh Oct 02, 2013 03:06PM BST Mendeley Agent Thanks Charlotte, we are aware of this problem and our Developers are working on a fix, it should be fixed shortly. Up0Down Charlotte Weber Oct 02, 2013 03:20PM BST Thank you Josh for the update. :) I hope they will be able to figure this one out without too much trouble! Up0Down
