Dear Mendeley,
I installed mendeley on my laptop now without any problems. also installed the MSword plugin from tool ..etc, but when I wanted to insert citation from mendeley it comes up with following: Mendeley Word plugin Problem - ActiveX component can't create object (429) in MendelyPlugin.
I'm using word 2007, window 7, mendely 1.11

Mendeley crashes
My Mendeley Desktop crashes immediately every time it is opened. I have reset it and uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled but still does the same.

Why is "Search by Title" gone?
Mendeley used to let me search articles by title, but now when the details need reviewing, I only have two options: "Details are correct" and "Search," but search is *always* greyed out.

Can't fix wrong journal abbreviations
I have a problem with the journal abbreviations in Mendeley.
When I edit an abbreviation in the View-Citation Style-Journal Abbreviation tab, the change is gone after I restart the program.
Is there a fix for this?

Mendeley 1.11 to Import from Endnote and Other sites
Hi,
I just updated my Mendeley to a newer version, and I tried to import from Endnote; due to the fact that most libraries or sites accept Endnote citation export but not for Mendeley. Therefore, I tried to save first to Endnote and then reImport with Mendeley, some how the newer version of Mendeley does not allow me to import (Iused to be able to import with older version), it was asking for EndnoteV8. When I tried to update Endnote, the website does not have Endnote V8, the latest is Endnote V7.
I would really appreciate help to know how to import or copy the citation direct from some libraries or GoogleScholar to Mendeley without having to upload to Endnote and then reimport with Mendeley; which was due to the fact most sites do not the save feature for Mendeley but for others.

Keep notes, annotations and highlighted pdf in new PC
Hi, I have several pdfs read in mendeley, all of them have notes, annotations, highlights, tags, etc. made by me. Now I am thinking about change my laptop for a new one, but before I want to make sure I am not going to lost all this work.
How can I be sure about it?

Font size
The font size of the application is too smal, much smaler than in Endnote and in other standard Windows Applications. Increasing the Default size of operating System Fonts doesn't help, because the fonts are still too smal in comparison to the other applications. And you cannot have one software runnning in huge fonts and the other in tiny! So please correct this! One Approach would be to be able to increase the font in the preferences. The user should be able to customize the appearance of the application, this is very important! For example in the main list the references appear in two lines, even if the text is too small to fill out these two lines. If you could adjust to one line, the text font would be bigger!

Export refs from MS word to RIS format
Hi,
I'm working with a friend on a paper. She has used Mendeley to insert references into the paper. I want to convert those citations to RIS format, so that later I can use the references with any ref manager . How can I do it? Help is highly appreciated.
PS: I don't want to ask my friend to export the references using Mendeley Desktop on her computer and send me the RIS file.

After reboot Mendeley does not display
When I reboot and then try to run Mendeley I get a get a crash report and notification that recovery is being done and that a Report is being sent to Mendeley. Finally it reaches the point of loading the main window. Then the Mendeley logo disappears and shortly thereafter I receive an error message (See attached file).
However the task manager reports that the process is running and it is also listed under Applications. The program is not visible on the screen nor is it hidden under another window.
How do I recover from this?

Another broken links issue with mendeley desktop
I need some help. A few months ago I activated the function Rename files in Mendeley . I did not realize that this function would change the location of files folder on the computer.
Then uninstalled Mendeley , I returned to install Mendeley . I ordered all the files in the folders as they were originally because that 's I need.
Now all links to documents that were in the folder Mendeley created to pu pdfs with new names appear broken . I thought this would be no problem , that would be solved by manually adding files to the desktop as the outside needed.
However, if I add manually the pdf to the library, and although the library sincronizes, I still see the broken link .
For example , after adding the file I see this: Could not open '\ C: \ Users \ Manuel \ Documents \ Mendeley Desktop \ Rica , Lucrecia , Jos - Unknown - No Title.pdf '
But I have not the file in that folder , I have the file in the original folder where I had always had, before I activate Rename files and then changed location .
What do I do? There is some manual way to tell that the link Mendeley of this file is now in another folder ?

Unable to Sync to Web

I added references on my laptop, but when I press Sync, they do not show up in my Mendeley account online.

Document URL formatting converts encoded spaces to actual spaces
For example,

How to back up for windows7
Sir,
I am using Mendeley on windows XP installed in C drive. I saved research papers in E drive. I sorted these papers in Mendeley. Now I am planning to change the OS to windows7 which will be installed to same C drive. How can I back up the Mendeley for windows7? If I restore the back up, shall I get the same sorted and highlighted papers on mendeley without downloading again? Will the link can be established to E drive automatically?
pls help me in this regard.

MS word plug in
The MS word plug in has been disappeared. I deleted and re downloaded mendeley desktop and re install the MS plug in. However in my word does not exist as it was as a seperate mendeley ref section on the toolbar. Do you know what might the problem be? What should I do to regain access to my Library by the MS Word?

I can not install open office plugin
I've got the Open office (writer) version 3.4.1. Until last week I had installed de OpenOffice plugin but this week it has desapear. I've tried to install again the plugin but it's impossible. I've got a error message: Error binding package vnd.sun.star.expand.

How to syn the published in field ?
Dear All/Medeley Agent
I have added about 400 documents to my Mendeley Destop. More than 50% of my citations missing the Published in field even I try to synchronized it with the web (I am not able to search the documents details online through my Mendeley destop.
Secondly, in the published in only some part of the journal name appears. how can I see/add full name the journal in the published in field.
